When trying to think of a technology that will change professional communication in the future, the first program I thought of was "DOMO". DOMO is not necessarily the newest technology, however, it is extremely underutilized. I worked with a company that used DOMO and I realized in that job, this could change businesses. In my own words, DOMO is the social media of a business. Not to be confused with Linkedin because this product is entirely for the single business itself.
